Haloperidol helped bring acute symptoms under control when I needed stability. The main benefit was reduced agitation and better sleep. I did experience stiffness and felt mentally slower at first. After a bit of adjustment and monitoring, it was more tolerable. Effective overall, but it’s not a medication I’d ever take casually.

Haloperidol helped reduce severe symptoms when things were escalating. I noticed improvement in agitation and sleep fairly quickly. The side effects were noticeable: stiffness, fatigue, and a dull “heavy” feeling. I also felt restless at times, even when I was calmer mentally. Overall, it helped, but it’s a medication that needs close follow-up.

Haloperidol worked, but it wasn’t easy to be on. I felt calmer, yet emotionally flatter and less motivated. I had dry mouth and some constipation, which was annoying. My muscles felt tight, especially in my neck and shoulders. Effective for symptom control, but not my favorite day-to-day feeling.

Haloperidol helped stabilize severe agitation and improve sleep quickly. I felt less overwhelmed and more able to follow daily routines. The downside was sedation and a “slowed down” feeling. I also noticed mild tremor and stiffness early on. Overall, it helped, but it required careful supervision and monitoring.

Haloperidol was effective during an acute episode, but it was intense. I felt calmer mentally, yet my body felt rigid and uncomfortable. The restlessness (akathisia-like feeling) was the worst part for me. I reported it quickly and didn’t try to “tough it out.” Good symptom control, but tolerability was a challenge.
